Welcome to the FX Supervisory Controller Family software installation and configuration instructions. This document covers the initial software installation of the following products:

  • FX Workbench
  • FX Server

This document is meant for application engineers, system representatives, field installation and service technicians, and others performing control system installation.

This document does not cover the operation of Johnson Controls® customized versions of FX Workbench (FX Workbench Pro and FX Workbench) or NiagaraAX components. For more information on these versions and components, refer to the FX Workbench 14.x User Guide (LIT-12012256) or the Niagara User’s Guide located in docs\docUser folder of your FX Supervisory Software installation directory.

Note: The default installation directory for the FX Workbench User’s Guide is C:\JCI\FXWorkbench-#.#\jciStandards, where [#.#] is replaced by the revision level of the software.
Note: The default installation directory for the Niagara User’s Guide is C:\JCI\FXWorkbench-#.#\docs\ docUser, where [#.#] is replaced by the revision level of the software. However, you can specify a different installation directory during the installation process. Ensure you have the correct directory path when you access the user documentation.
