The FX-PCX s are expansion I/O modules with integral RS-485 MS/TP communications.

Note: At Controller Configuration Tool (CCT) 13.0 or later, using 10.1 Release Mode, the FX-PCGs, FX-PCAs, and FX-PCVs can communicate by using either the BACnet or the N2 field bus networking protocol. The operation of the FX-PCX is not affected by the selection of the BACnet or the N2 protocol in the host controller.

FX-PCX s can serve in one of two capacities, depending on where they are installed in the control system. When installed on the Sensor Actuator (SA) Bus of FX-PCG and FX-PCX controllers, the FX-PCX s expand the I/O interfaces of the controllers. When installed on the Field Controller (FC) Bus, FX-PCX s can be used as I/O point multiplexors to support monitoring and control from a supervisory controller . The point multiplexor can also be useful for sharing points between other FX-PC controllers on the FC Bus using peer-to-peer connectivity.

A full range of FX-PCG models combined with the FX-PCX models can be applied to a wide variety of building applications ranging from simple fan coil or heat pump control to advanced central plant management.
