- Operation
-
When fire alarm network status changes occur, the main screen displays the type and location of the status change. For example, in Figure 1, the Alarm and Priority2 buttons display with an active Alarm. When you click these buttons from the header, on any screen, the Alarm List screen opens and displays the details of the alarm.
- Screen configuration and display
-
You can choose which screens to display. If you have multiple monitors, you can display multiple screens simultaneously.
- Ease of operation
-
Operators can select the screen area in alarm to access detailed views of zones or devices in alarm. With touchscreen monitors, operators can do this by touching the screen. Operators can acknowledge alarm and trouble conditions, activate signal silence and perform a system reset directly from the workstation screens.
- Programmable activity timeout
-
With programmable activity timeout, an unattended monitor reverts to the log on screen when the configured time expires.
- Event log and list details
-
The display format for the event log and list details screens is similar to the alarm list screen. See Figure 1. You can sort the lists by category, for example: number, time, date, and point name. You can view the list on the screen and print it at a local or remote system printer. You can also save it as a file for compatibility with spreadsheet and database programs.
- Customized response
-
You can add custom alarm and trouble messages and edit them in the field to provide operator response assistance. You can select point-specific information, for example: hazardous material storage and lists of people to notify. You can display this information automatically or selectively.
- Control operations
-
You can use the Control Operations tab to view and manage utility, audio, and phone controls. This applies if you configured the job for control operations. Within the Control Operations tab, navigate to the relevant sub-tab to access the following operations:
- Utility Operations: control utility outputs on or off.
- Audio Operations: control audio system outputs on or off.
- Phone Operations: manage phone control outputs, including Answer All and Call Out functions.
